Great food. Nice, friendly team and a quaint restaurant.
Very good food, friendly service, a very clear recommendation!
Food is good but far too expensive the guest can't help it Corona.
Excellent Franconian and seasonal cuisine, very personable staff and great owners. I will definitely come back!
Very tasty food, nice service, an all-round successful evening. We recommend
Very good food. Nicely presented. Good service even when it is busy.
Food very, very tasty. Large portions.
Very friendly, courteous and well trained staff! Nice inside / outside area High quality products that have been prepared with a lot of love !!! If you are looking for good Franconian cuisine in a pleasant location, you have to come here! I am thrilled every time ... and that should be gastronomy
Very tasty cozy very nice staff
We were there spontaneously with five people. Although everything was full, the nice waitress changed the schedule to give us a table. The food was very tasty, typically Franconian and came very quickly. The service was very friendly and personable and even showed us the old vaulted cellar. The prices were reasonable too. We would love to come back :)
Great friendly service, delicious food with appealing regional wines. Despite corona restrictions, every guest tries to cater for the best. Highly recommended.
Very fine cuisine. Very nice hosts. I can only recommend it. In such a small place it was amazing.
We were four today in the country inn to the bear in Thüngersheim. The service was very friendly and always at the right time at the table, the glasses were never empty. The food was not long in coming and was delicious. My highlight was the apple strudel with vanilla ice cream, which was homemade and still warm, really a treat! Can I just join the other reviews and recommend a visit.
Very good food, very good selection of regional wines at reasonable prices. The vaulted cellar is very cozy. The service was only temporary help and did not know about wine, but was very friendly and helpful. The Pinot Gris was top. Thank you and gladly again.
The food was as always the absolute culinary delight! The ambience is rustic, down to earth and cozy. Service and performance are definitely worth the upscale price. The only drawback is the front door. It's very fast, if you sit up in the dining room. To recommend. Reservation needed.
Good food, friendly staff, great service! Too bad the installed LED lights are a bit too bright, tables sometimes have to be shared and only cash or German bankcards are accepted.
You should have been here once! The Gasthof zum Bären serves hearty Franconian cuisine at moderate prices. The shovel was delicious! The beers in the tap also tasted very good. Very friendly service! The absolute hit is the wonderful guest room in the Bärenkeller - with the bear cave! A dreamlike ambience that you have to see! We would like to come again!
A colleague and I are in town on business, and Zum Baren is about 20 yards from our lovely Airbnb apartments. It's a really convenient location in a town without much else going on, so it was a pleasant surprise when it turned out to be an excellent family-run restaurant. We have eaten here for lunch and dinner, weekdays and weekends, probably a total of ten times over the last two weeks, and it never disappoints. We've had delicious pork knuckles, pork roasts, trout, steaks, veal, venison, everything. The potato dumplings (personal favorite) are perfect, and the green salads are always fresh and tasty. They only seem to offer two beers, which is a shame, but the wine selection is full of tasty local wines that go perfectly with the food. Pricing is very reasonable. Atmosphere in the main dining room is good, but for the best experience, ask for a table in the old stone cellar. Pros: THE FOOD, wine, service, value Cons: very little English among the staff, no credit cards
